Catch Rek - Blind Faith

Catch Rek is a Puerto Rican MC born and raised in Hudson County, NJ, across the Hudson River from Manhattan. Growing up in a neighborhood that was 85% Hispanic and 20 minutes from the most diverse city in the world made for an upbringing rooted in rich culture.

Entering the world of music as a teenager in high school — both producing and rapping — he quickly became engulfed in the underground scene. From groups and collectives to a solo career, it has been a journey of persistence and passion for the art. Life’s trials and tribulations have always been a source of inspiration, with a style built on vivid storytelling, clever wordplay, slick flows and raw emotion.

Catch Rek debuted on Sway in the Morning with “City Lights” off Set in Stone, followed by singles “By My Side” and “Self Made.” In 2026, “Broken Dreams” debuted on Statik Selektah’s Show Off Radio on Shade 45 — off the upcoming album Blind Faith, dropping 4/26/26.

Performing throughout the boroughs of NY, North Jersey, Atlanta and Charlotte have been proving grounds for the relentless MC. Over a decade perfecting his craft, overcoming adversity, and developing a business-minded approach as an independent artist has set the foundation for longevity in this game.
